From the Panel to the Screen: RUNAWAYS… The Movie?
Even though MARVEL‘s movie slate was previously announced all the way up through 2011, that didn’t stop them from letting slip RUNAWAYS was in development. Hit the jump to see what Hollywood Reporter had to say.
Real early this morning, The Hollywood Reporter… well… reported Brian K. Vaughan’s teen heroes were currently in the “incubation” stage of development. Along with ANT MAN, RUNAWAYS is another of MARVEL‘s lesser-known series being run through the Hollywood hoop.
The good news is BKV is attached to write, and the film will be produced through MARVEL Studios. If the way MARVEL treated their adaptation of IRON MAN is any indication, we fans of the book shouldn’t have too many worries. Though I do think there’s quite a few characters to jam into a 2 hour movie. But I’m not Brian Vaughan, who is more than capable of delivering.

Nice! I am a little nervous about them trying to cram this into a movie, but between BKV being on board and the recent awesomeness of Iron Man, I have faith that they can pull this off.
