Beyond the Mainstream: An Interview With Ron Marz
Ron Marz is one of the most accomplished writers working in comics today. His previous writing credits include titles like SOJOURN for CROSSGEN, SILVER SURFER for MARVEL, SAMURAI: HEAVEN and EARTH for DARK HORSE, and most famously for his seminal run on DC‘s GREEN LANTERN, in which he ushered in a new era for the green guardian.
Now, in addition to working on WITCHBLADE and BROKEN TRINITY for TOP COW, he is also helping introduce American audiences to the world of Indian lore and mythology at VIRGIN COMICS. Mr. Marz took some time out of his busy summer schedule to do an interview with us. Hit the jump for the full scoop.

Twentieth Century Fox and Dark Horse Comics Present Buffy the Vampire Slayer Mystical Parlor Games
Fans of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and the magical arts will be thrilled to know that Twentieth Century Fox and DARK HORSE COMICS are joining together to bring two new Buffy-themed mystical products to retail. DARK HORSE sent us a press release detailing the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer Tarot Deck and “Conversations With Dead People” Board. More info after the jump.
From the Panel to the Screen: WATCHMEN’s Golden Age Minutemen Photo
So the more and more I see from Zach Snyder’s upcoming adaptation of WATCHMEN, the more I start to think it may be a pretty faithful portrayal of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ work. Ain’t It Cool News was the first to break this photo of the Golden Age heroes from the book, the Minutemen. Hit the jump for a larger look.
