MySpace Dark Horse Presents Turns One Year Old

Dark Horse sent us a press release today announcing that it has now been one year since relaunching Dark Horse Presents on MySpace. To celebrate, Dark Horse has a bit of news on what we can expect from the publisher in the near future. Hit the jump for the full press release.
Wanted Takes Out Box Office Records

As reported earlier, TheQuarterbin went to see Wanted this weekend, and we had a great time. The movie was a lot of fun to watch, and quite honestly, better than I expected. Apparently we weren’t the only ones making the trip to see the Top Cow comic adaptation this weekend, as the film is breaking all kinds of box office records. Hit the jump for more.

Going into the film, I had a ton of questions. Will Timur Bekmambetov’s flashy direction go over well with American audiences? Can James McAvoy be a believable action star? Michael Turner Passes Away at 37

Michael Turner, one of today’s more memorable artists and co-founder of Aspen Comics, lost his ongoing battle with cancer Friday night. I never had the chance to meet Michael, but I did enjoy the work he did. Having said that, I encourage you to check both ComicBookResources and Newsarama for far better rememberances than I could ever hope to write. Turner will be missed by many. Aspen sent out a brief press release, and we encourage everyone to send their condolences.
Unfortunately it’s with great sadness that I must inform everyone that Michael Turner tragically passed away last night, June 27th at approximately 10:42 pm in Santa Monica, Ca. Turner had been dealing with recent health complications arisen in the past few weeks. More details concerning Turner’s passing, and services, will be given shortly.

Buffy Tarot Deck Canceled By Dark Horse

From the Panel to the Screen: Red Sonja Film to be Rodriguez Helmed, Star McGowan

All you “Bad Girl in a Chainmail Bikini” fetishists will be getting some love on the silver screen thanks to Robert Rodriguez taking on the Red Sonja film. Set to star Planet Terror and Jawbreaker femme fatale, Rose McGowan, the film will start shooting this October. Find out more after the jump.
DCU MMO Details Emerge
