Not to mention the visual (and thematic) consistencies available in a Cage/Logan road story. And I actually have quite a few jabs lined up for Millar, but those can wait for another time. And indeed, it has been far too long. While I think you may be right about Millar not doing right by Cage, if you’re just going to use a character to either turn on Logan, die, or turn on Logan and then die, (I’m assuming they’ll stray that much from the source material) then at least Cage brings up a litany of fascinating ways to go about it. After seeing what's been done with him by Bendis in anything Avengers and by Gage in that House of M Avengers mini, he wouldn't meet the standard fans now expect of the formerly underutilized character. And that's not a dig on Millar. He's a very talented writer, but when it comes to certain characters, he just can't seem to grasp who they are. also- It's been too long.
