The Buffy Animated Series That Could Have Been
I don’t know where I was about four years ago that I never heard about this, or maybe I did hear and blacked it out when it never came to be. At any rate, some footage of the planned, but never aired, Buffy the Vampire Slayer animated series has been making the internet rounds–four years after it was made. I’ve taken a look, and it made me both happy and sad–happy to see even a glimpse of Buffy’s high school years again, and sad that we’ll never have any more. Hit the jump to take a look.
I really felt that the writing felt as dead-on as could be. It’s a little jarring hearing someone else’s voice come out of Buffy’s mouth, but you get over it. Also, it was nice to hear Alyson Hannigan, Anthony Steward Head, and Nick Brendon all lent their voices to the project. Dammit! This would have been so awesome!
Don’t worry, you’re not the only one. I never heard about this until yesterday. But damn it would have been awesome!
