The Quarter Bin

Thank God for Ze Germans. Without their Leipzig Games Convention, we would never have gotten these new MK vs DC screenshots. Technically, I guess we would’ve got them eventually, but we have them now, and that’s what matters. C’mon and get your first looks at Green Lantern, Liu Kang and Kitana in after the jump.

Those shots of Green Lantern are pretty much perfect. Any fan of the ring slinger would be happy with the way his powers have turned out. Kitana looks like… well she looks like a hot chick with fan-blades. Sadly, Liu Kang is no longer in zombie form, but his fireball now has a dragon head. I guess that’s for the best, but I will miss getting to play as a zombie in a Mortal Kombat game. The other shots are pretty cool, too. Joker tooling around in the Batcave look pretty interesting, though that one where he’s getting punched is a little… I know the Joker’s supposed to be creepy and grinning all the time, but that just doesn’t look right. Stay tuned for more, as Ed Boon has promised to reveal some new characters this week as well.

UPDATE:

The four new characters announced are Wonder Woman, Kano, Raiden and Deathstroke, the Terminator. The first three were basically expected, but putting Deathstroke in this game puts it one more notch closer to a must-buy. Just having the option to play as Slade Wilson is enough to get me salivating. As soon as pictures are made available, you can bet we’ll have them.
