Emily the Strange Store Opens in Athens, Greece
The newest Emily the Strange store is about to open its doors in Athens, Greece. The store’s grand opening will take place on November 13, will, not surprisingly, feature the complete Emily apparel line. You can read more about it in the press release after the jump.
ATHENS, GREECE – November 6, 2008: Emily the Strange excitedly opens the doors to her latest theme store, in Athens, Greece! The boutique, opening on November 13th, 2008, will feature Emily, Emily and more Emily! It will offer entirely Emily the Strange merchandise, including a full apparel line, accessories, toys and footwear. The store, owned by Plastelini LTD, will be located at Ermou 105 kai Karaiskaki, Monastiraki, in Athens.
Because of the tremendous popularity of Emily theme stores throughout Asia, the Athens shop opened its doors. There are two Emily stores in Hong Kong, 1 in Thailand and 1 in Taiwan. Following is a video that features one of the Emily Hong Kong stores: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1B1RbRA9qus.
Featuring an Emily “dungeon” theme, the façade of the new two-story Athens store is enhanced by stone walls and wooden ceiling. Flooring is black wood, and keeping with the Emily tradition, the entire interior is black and red. In addition to carrying all Emily merchandise, the store will feature Emily themed furnishings.
On opening night on the 13th, guests can enjoy a special Emily drink. Some surprise VIPs will be present, and the event will include refreshments and a DJ.
