New Runaways Creative Team Announced
If you read Marvel’s June 09 solicitations, you may have noticed that the writer, artist, and cover artist of Runaways #11 were all classified. Marvel has since announced the new creative team on one of my all-time favorite comic series.
Starting with Runaways #11, the series will be written by Kathryn Immonen (best known for Patsy Walker: Hellcat), and the artist will be Sara Pichelli of NYX fame. The artwork seen above looks pretty awesome, but I’m more concerned with the creative team’s promise about the future of the Runaways:
“One Runaway will die and one Runaway will live again.”
Well, that’s ominous, and kind of upsetting. Any thoughts on what that could mean? I have some ideas, but I’ll wait until the new team takes over to start the serious speculation. In the meantime, enjoy David Lafuente’s covers to issues 11 and 12.
