Cable Joins Ultimate Alliance 2

Cable joins Psylocke and Carnage he latest DLC character announced for Activision’s Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.
Just in time for the six people who are still playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 to buy another game, Activision unveils the latest character to be made available via DLC. Nathan Summers, aka Askani’son, aka Soldier X, aka Cable will be arriving on next-gen consoles at some point. Yay?
Introduced way, way back in 1986, Nathan Summers was the son of Scott “Cyclops” Summers and Madelyne Pryor, a clone of Jean Grey, who turned demon-bitch when Scott dumped her. Nathan was whisked away to the future as he was infected with a strange techno-organic virus, where he grew up to be the time-travelling hero Cable. A product of the “big guns, big muscles, no plot” era of comics, otherwise known as the 90s, Cable quickly became a fan-favorite, and was the star of numerous titles, including co-starring with Deadpool in Cable and Deadpool, as well his current self-titled book, Cable, written by Philly native Duane Swierczynski.
Now, my only problem with Cable being included in this game is that based on the footage shown, he’s nothing more than a gun-toting meathead. The man does have telekinetic, and depending on who’s writing him, telepathic, powers, but it didn’t look like anything like that was being introduced into the game. Cable joins Psylocke and Carnage, who will all likely be released at some point soon. Though there’s no price indicated by any party, if the model established by the first Ultimate Alliance holds true, then two or three more characters should be revealed soon, with the whole gang costing around $5. Not bad, but are you really going to go dipping into DLC for this game when Modern Warfare 2 is out? I thought not.
