PlayStation Comic Store Update – 02.11.10

Time to check in with this week’s PlayStation Comic Store update.

If you’re like me, and live in the Northeast, which just got absolutely lambasted with snow these last few days, you may not have had time or the inclination to head out to the comic shop on Wednesday. On weeks like this, I tend to go back and read old stuff until I have an opportunity to venture into that long, cold darkness to visit my LCS. The PlayStation Comic Store has broadened my digital comic horizons as of late, and instead of digging through longbox after longbox, I instead chose to grab a few comics I hadn’t read before for my PSP. If you feel so inclined, you may want to check out the next six issues of the “Planet Hulk” storyline in Incredible Hulk. Seriously, I can’t emphasize enough how fantastic that whole arc was. Probably the defining Hulk story of the 2000s. Those of you in a more offbeat mood may want to check out Tank Girl. I’ve barely scratched the surface with the character, but any comic she’s in is bound to be more fun than one she’s not in. The very first Marvel Zombies mini-series is also available this week, and even though zombies have been done to death by this point, Robert Kirkman and Sean Phillips created one of the craziest superhero zombie adventures ever. It’s high time you read it, don’t you think?

It’s another huge Marvel week, and even though I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: the PlayStation Comic Store needs more publishers. All it’ll take is maybe Image or Dark Horse, or even DC, and then the selection available every week will have plenty more options that just about everyone should be reading. You can check out the complete list of what’s available below.
