PlayStation Comic Store Update – 04.08.10

Time once more for the PlayStation Comic Store update.

There’s quite a substantial number of new comics available this week on the PlayStation Store, and this is also probably one of the best weeks as far as quality content is concerned. First, you’ve got your typical deluge of Marvel comics. “Brand New Day” continues with five more issues of the thrice-monthly Amazing Spider-Man, and even more classic X-Men issues arrive this week, including battles against El Tigre and The Locust. Okay, so probably not the most important issues ever, but still worth checking out simply for the nostalgia of the way things used to be for Marvel’s mutant family. GI Joe: Cobra returns, with the first issue of the second series. Since the series has been made into an ongoing, it appears that IDW’s decided to create a new numbering system, so instead of GI Joe: Cobra II #1, you’re getting GI Joe: Cobra #7. Either way, definitely worth checking out, even if you missed out on the first mini-series. Vampire Hunter D debuts this week as well from IDW, and I’ve only ever seen the anime, which was cool, so I’m definitely going to look into the actual comic. Saving the best for last, the second volume of Atomic Robo begins here, and if you don’t check out this book, you and I are going to have words. And you’re not going to like them. Plus, it’s only ninety-nine cents. What’s holding you back?
