Batman Incorporated #7 – $2.99
This book has absolutely been one of the best things to come from DC in the past few years. It’s a shame that Morrison’s grand scheme for this organization is being scuttled for the big relaunch, but that doesn’t mean these last few months can’t be entertaining. Besides, Morrison has already said that he’d be back to finish his grand masterpiece sometime in 2012. Whether that means limited series or what, I don’t know. All I know is I’m buying this book until DC stops printing it.
The Sixth Gun #12 – $3.99
Man, has it really been a year since this book started? I’m so glad to see that this brilliant Western is still being published. As one of Sixth Gun‘s biggest fans, it brings me great pleasure to know that Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt are going to be putting this book out for a long time. If you’ve still somehow managed to miss out on this amazing title, there are two trades out to catch you up. Unique stories like this are a wonderful example that great serialized tales can be told outside of the tights and capes.

Marvel Universe vs. The Punisher – $14.99
I have a soft spot for the Punisher. He often gets a raw deal when forced to play by the rules of the Marvel U, but here in this alternate future, Jonathan Maberry is able to let Frank lose on the whole of the hero community. It’s sort of I Am Legend crossed with… well, the Punisher. It’s a fun summer blockbuster that is perfect for some vacation reading.
That’ll do for this week. See you after the holiday.
