Castlevania: The First Few Minutes

From the people who brought you God of War (Indie Movie) and the seminal 80s film The Legend of Zelda, comes the first original production from The Quarter Bin: Castlevania – The First Few Minutes.
NYCC 2011: Good Vibes Creative Team Discuss Show, Being Teamed with Beavis and Butthead, and Dick Jokes
Earlier this month at New York Comic Con, I attended a panel for Good Vibes, a cartoon show set to air on MTV following their new Beavis and Butthead. Present at the panel were creator David Gordon Green, cast members Adam Brody, Josh Gad, Debi Mazar, Olivia Thirlby, and Alan Tudyk, and executive producers Tom Brady, Brad Ableson, and Mike Clements. With zany animation, a talented cast of voice actors, and lots of dick jokes, Good Vibes is sure to get plenty of laughs from the Beavis and Butthead crowd, but that doesn’t just mean teenagers. After watching the pilot and having the chance to talk to the cast and creative team at a roundtable discussion, I’m pleasantly surprised by what the new show has to offer. Batman: Year One – Blu-ray Review

Considered one of the seminal Batman origin stories, Batman: Year One is a true masterpiece from the minds of Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli. As both the tale of a young Bruce Wayne’s earliest days fighting crime on the streets of Gotham and that of the burgeoning career of Lt. James Gordon fighting corruption in the Gotham Police Department, Year One gives a unique perspective on the beginnings of the city’s most respected and loyal heroes. Hard-boiled, gritty, and brutally elegant, Miller’s and Mazzucchelli’s tale is one of the smartest retellings of a superhero’s origin of the modern era. Translating that impact to an animated feature was undoubtedly a daunting task, but directors Lauren Montgomery and Sam Liu, along with writer Tab Murphy, prove to be more than up to the challenge.
